We already had this single, which is probably my favorite Police song, but I had always been keeping my eye out for this picture sleeve. It was banned by the BBC and then released with alternate covers. We finally found it at Amoeba and I couldn't have been more excited. It is so over-dramatic, like the lyric, "But you'll be sorry when I'm dead/And all this guilt will be on your head." Yeesh.

Had an interesting interaction with the Half Price Books staff. They had a used copy of Girl Talk's Night Ripper lp for 30.00. Thanks to smartphones, we were able to discover that a new copy can be ordered from insound for 24.00. We alerted the staff to this, but they said they were unable to come down on the price at all.

Also, at Amoeba we bought what we thought was Run-DMC: It's Tricky 7", but in the sleeve was Ronnie's Rap by Ron and the D.C. Crew, some novelty rap song performed by a Reagan impersonator. Lame. It cost us $3.
Our planned return to Randy's is foiled as they are closed for the entire week to go on vacation. But we're on vacation and can't return next week! Day is spent attempting to forget about the records we left behind by buying lots of records elsewhere.
